Iran Photos – Cycling Around The World

The Quran Gate of Shiraz: we made it!
In October 2015 we cycled in the Islamic Replublic of Iran from Teheran to Isfahan, Yazd and finally Shiraz. A wonderful trip.
Most of the time it was easy to find a good camping spot Most days were hot enough to look for a shady spot Cooking a spaghetti and veggies meal while free camping along the Yazd to Shiraz road
Bottled water is widely available Trucks on the Nain Yazf highway
The Isfahan to Varzaneh road, wide and surpirsingly quiet
The Quran Gate of Shiraz: we made it! Persepolis Tourist Hotel: good value bungalow style rooms at one of the northern sites of Persepolis
Camping between Yazd and Abarkuh View of Abarkuh The only other cyclists we met (in Abarkuh)
Park in Safashar
The nice thing about Pasargade is that cyclists are allowed in and use their bikes to ride around the various places
Quiet road north of Varzaneh
Cross one of the old bridges in Isfahan and continue cycling along the south bank of the river The old road to Isfahan is generally very quiet
