Cycling in the Netherlands : Network of cycling routes

When you don’t want to cross all of the country, but rather discover a smaller part of the country extensively, you can use the network of cycling routes (fietsroutenetwerken). This system consists of junctions which have a unique number. It makes it easy to explore a region from any point throughout the network.
By linking the nodes you can plot your own interesting cycling trips.

The network of cycling routes is a rather new phenomenon and is expected to cover more and more of the country in the future. The quality and density of and available information about the networks differ from one province to the other.

Of some these cyclingroutes the waypoints are also available as GPStracks.
