Short Videos on Cycling in Sikkim and Bhutan 2006

In October 2006 we cycled around Sikkim (India) and Bhutan. Using a simple digital camera, a Canon Powershot A85, we shot some very short video clips to give you an extra impression of this trip.

Crossing the border from India into Bhutan by bicycle. In fact is what you see here illagal. We didn’t stop for the passport check and were called back. Busy street scene in downtown Kalimpong (Sikkim) Cyclist on the top of Kiki La in Bhutan. Kiki La is a minor pass on the road to the Bumthang valley. It briings good luck to circle the chorten on the top clockwise at least three times. Reaching the top of Dochu La near Thimpu. Dochu La is the first major pass on the road from Thimpu to the east of Bhutan.
