Nepal – Cycling Around The World

The Nepal part of our 1987-1989 world tour

After three months of cycling through Europe (from Holland to Greece) we arrived in Kathmandu. It took us a week to overcome the culture shock: we experienced our flight as a journey back in time, arriving in “medieval” Kathmandu.

But when we had overcome the initial shock we enjoyed the busy streets of Kathmandu, the spiritual atmosphere of the temples and the overwhelming views of the Himalayas like nothing before.
